# Introduction

Aspan Finance is the first decentralized leverage and stablecoin protocol on BNB Chain collateralized by LSTs (Liquid Staking Tokens).\
Through our innovative dual-token risk tranche model, we decompose the underlying BNB staking assets into two components:<br>

1. apUSD: A decentralized stablecoin that maintains a $1.00 peg even amid extreme market volatility.
2. xBNB: A leverage token that absorbs the volatility of the underlying assets, providing approximately 3x long leverage exposure.

Aspan’s core vision is to solve the two biggest pain points facing DeFi traders: the exorbitant funding fees of perpetual contracts and the liquidation anxiety associated with lending protocols. On Aspan, you can hold leveraged positions long-term without paying any holding costs, or hold stablecoins while earning real yield generated by the protocol.<br>
